Kari Lake Calls On Republicans in the House of Representatives to Do Whatever it Takes to Stop the Border Crisis

In an appearance on Fox News this morning, Arizona GOP U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake called on Republicans in the House of Representatives to do whatever it takes to stop the border crisis.

Lake referenced the fact that members of the Republican Party in the House of Representatives recently visited the southern border.

“Last week we saw a bunch of politicians go down and take a look at the problem on the border as if they haven’t known how bad it is,” Lake explained.

Lake pointed out that she would rather that they be back in Washington D.C. doing whatever they can to solve the problem instead.

In a post on X, Lake shared a copy of the interview and said, “The people are counting on the Republicans in the House of Representatives to do whatever it takes to stop this border crisis.”

“We can’t count on the Democrats to do the right thing. Their caucus is full of extremists like @RubenGallego, who have voted numerous times against the wall and facilitated this invasion,” Lake continued.

Lake concluded, “We need to send a loud and clear message that we’re not going to take this invasion at our border any longer. The American people are desperate for help. Let’s show them we’re listening.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) told CBS in an interview that the “policy choices” by Joe Biden have “created the chaos.”

“President Biden created the crisis at the border by enacting bad policies. House Republicans are demanding transformational policy change to secure the border and end this crisis,” Johnson said in a post on X where he shared a clip from the interview.

As we previously reported, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre asserted on Saturday that Biden doesn’t need to visit the southern border because he was there last year.

After it was noted that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is visiting the southern border on Monday, Jean-Pierre was asked, “Is it time for President Biden to make a visit himself to address these issues?

Jean-Pierre shot down the suggestion as she shot back, “The president was there last year, he went to El Paso last year.”
