Kayleigh McEnany Announces President Trump to Send National Guard to Capitol Building Amidst Protest

Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany used her official Twitter account to announce, tweeting:

“At President @realDonaldTrump’s direction, the National Guard is on the way along with other federal protective services. We reiterate President Trump’s call against violence and to remain peaceful.”

Alleged Trump supporters reportedly took over the Capitol building this afternoon in D.C.. Congressmen were told to shelter in place at first and then they were evacuated or locked down. They adorned hoods and were escorted out of the building as you can see in the tweet from David Trone below:

Many Republicans have asked for the protesters to stop and others have disavowed it, including Donald Trump Jr. who tweeted:

“This is wrong and not who we are. Be peaceful and use your 1st Amendment rights, but don’t start acting like the other side. We have a country to save and this doesn’t help anyone.”

Earlier we reported that it appears as though a peaceful woman was shot, updated reports show that it may have been by D.C. Police:

After Trump supporters reportedly stormed the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. allegedly angry about the 2020 election and untrusting of the election system, politicians were evacuated and Washington D.C. locked down, things have been getting intense.

Many Republicans have disavowed the alleged disruptions and President Trump and his son have tweeted asking that people be peaceful. Sadly there are reports with videos (viewer discretion advised) showing at least one person, a woman, getting shot.
