Kayleigh McEnany Calls Twitter to Floor, Posts DOJ ‘Facts’ on Mail-in Voting

The new hotshot press secretary for President Donald J. Trump is posting the best ‘facts’ she can scrounge up after Twitter decided to shockingly ‘fact-check’ at least two of President Trump’s tweets mentioning how he feels about mail-in voting.

McEnany posted things that she likely believes are very hard to get fact-checked to help try and set the record straight for her boss who is vowing to wage proverbial war on social media companies if they don’t stop conservative censorship.

McEnany, who has already taken flack from neoliberal Chris Wallace of Fox News for her brash style, posted a long string of tweets, one if which is a link to the DOJ website, appearing to the bedrock of the case she is attempting to put out.

She mentions, with a link to back it up, how “just last week, the Justice Department announced the U.S. Attorney’s office & FBI in Philadelphia secured a guilty plea of an elections judge, who admitted to accepting bribes for ballots.

The link is posted directly below her tweet comment on that one. Another tweet highlights with a link from ‘post and courier’ that mail-in ballots from South Carolina turned up in Maryland somehow. “Even more, voters in Greenville County received wrong absentee ballots in the mail earlier this year” She tweets. Check out the press secretaries Twitter feed to see all the other posts she uses to highlight her point as well. The main takeaway here is that Twitter’s fact check frenzy has set off a firestorm and President Trump and his administration are defending their positions to the teeth.

Regardless, Twitter has emboldened other outlets and local news affiliates to ‘fact check’ the president as well, enraging both sides. Trump’s base will likely say it is just more left-wing bias while left-wingers will take it as red meat and eat it up, saying that President Trump is on a disinformation campaign. The voters will decide in November the ultimate outcome but it’s sad that it has come to this and remains unlikely that President Trump will be able to take any real action to throttle big tech’s fact-checkers.
