Kayleigh McEnany: My Heart is With Casey DeSantis and Her Family Following Breast Cancer Diagnosis

It was reported this morning that Casey DeSantis, the wife of Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

In a statement, the governor announced that he was “Saddened to report that Florida’s esteemed First Lady and my beloved wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer.”

“As the mother of three young children, Casey is the centerpiece of our family and has made an impact on the lives of countless Floridians through her initiatives as First Lady,” DeSantis continued.

DeSantis explained, “As she faces the most difficult test of her life, she will have not only have my unwavering support but the support of our entire family, as well as the prayers and well wishes from Floridians across our state.”

“Casey is a true fighter, and she will never, never, never give up,” DeSantis concluded.

Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany, who previously underwent preventive double mastectomy procedure to reduce her risk of getting the ailment, sent her prayers to Casey DeSantis and her family in a tweet.

McEnany said, “My family and I will be praying for @FLCaseyDeSantis & every woman battling breast cancer! Casey is a strong woman and an amazing mother. My heart is with her and her family!”

Fox News added in their report that the 41-year-old Casey DeSantis is a former producer and Emmy award winning television show host for the PGA tour.

Not only that, but she is also a three-time equestrian national champion, as well as a runner-up NCAA division one champion.

As Florida’s first lady, she has spearheaded four major initiatives, including “Hope Florida – A Pathway to Prosperity, Economic Self-Sufficiency and Hope.”

The couple have been married since 2010 and are the parents of three children, Madison (4 years old), Mason (3 years old), and Mamie (18 months old), who was the first baby born in the Florida governor’s mansion in more than half a century.
