Kayleigh McEnany Offers Chris Wallace Replacement Shannon Bream a ‘Big Congratulations’ on Her Selection as ‘Fox News Sunday’ Host

Earlier today, we reported that Fox News announced that Shannon Bream will be the permanent anchor of “Fox News Sunday,” replacing the former Fox News anchor Chris Wallace, who left the network for the now defunct CNN+.

In a tweet, “Outnumbered” co-host Kayleigh McEnany shared a report on the news and offered Bream a “big congratulations” for being selected as the new anchor.

“A big congratulations to @ShannonBream on being named as the host of @FoxNewsSunday, @FoxNews — an excellent choice. I will be tuning in!” McEnany declared.

Bream will be the first woman to anchor the show in its 26-year history and will officially take the reigns on September 11th.

Currently the host of “Fox News @ Night” since 2017, Bream is the network’s chief legal correspondent.

In a prepared statement, Bream said, “It has been an honor to cover major news throughout Washington over the last 15 years at Fox News.”

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to host a Sunday show and look forward to this new role,” Bream added.

Wallace had anchored the show for nearly two decades before he jumped ship to CNN, where he is an anchor without a show at the moment.

Recently, Wallace made headlines during a Monday morning show appearance where he said that he thought Biden might not wind up as the Democrats’ choice to run for president in 2024.

Wallace explained, “Remember, in the CNN poll of polls, I think it’s 75 percent of Democrats say they would like to see another Democratic nominee for president in 2024, you know, and we’ve seen this in businesses that, you know, ‘Thank you very much for your service. Here’s the gold watch. Enjoy your retirement.”
