Kirstie Alley Tells Hannity She’s Voting for Trump Because She’s ‘Really Tired of Career Politicians’

Actress Kirstie Alley made headlines after tweeting out Saturday that she’s “voting for President Trump because he’s NOT a politician. I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason.”

She explained her reasoning at the time by insisting that “He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks there you have it.”

Maryland GOP Congressional candidate and rising star Kimberly Klacik responded, “Your bravery is appreciated.”

Alley was invited onto Sean Hannity’s Fox News show tonight and clarified what she meant with the tweet, saying that she doesn’t view Trump as a “career politician” and she’s “really tired of career politicians.”

She explained that she believes we need to return to a time where people who worked in the private sector would enter politics for a brief period and then return back to the private sector.

“I’m tired of paying people to do nothing and take too long to do it,” she opined. “They should have a base salary and then they should be paid if they have any accomplishments.” Hannity chuckled and quipped, “Don’t hold your breath.”

Alley tweeted out similar thoughts earlier today, saying that “Our country elected farmers, tailors, oil men, & generals as Presidents. Many served & went back home.”

“Career POLITICIANS swim in a swamp FOR DECADES! We have another OUTSIDER here, who takes no PAY, who works 20 HOURS A DAY to make this joint better. F THE SWAMP! VOTE TRUMP,” she added.
