KJP Tells Reporter that she Hasn’t Spoken to Joe Biden About the Classified Documents That Were Found Because There is ‘No Way to Talk About’ Them if he ‘Doesn’t know What’s in Them’

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded to a question from a reporter about the recent classified documents that were discovered in a locked closet at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.

As the Associated Press reported, Biden kept an office at the Penn Center after he left the vice presidency in 2017 until shortly before he launched his 2020 presidential campaign.

Jean-Pierre told the reporter that she hasn’t spoken to Biden about the documents that were found because there is “no way to talk about” them if he “doesn’t know what’s in them.”

In a clip shared by Breaking911, the reporter asked, “Have you spoken to the president about these documents and their discovery?”

Jean-Pierre responded, “I have not spoken, well, first of all, I have not spoken to the president about any of this specifically because he has laid out what he knows.”

“He has said he doesn’t know what is in them, so there is no way for me to talk about the documents if he has said he doesn’t know what’s in them,” Jean-Pierre insisted.

Jean-Pierre concluded, “We’re just going to allow the process to continue.”

Biden said yesterday in Mexico that he was “surprised” to learn about the documents and that he didn’t know what was in them.

“My lawyers have not suggested I ask what documents they were… and we are cooperating fully, cooperating fully, with the review that I hope will be finished soon,” Biden added.

Biden then “joked” that he had forgot the first question that was asked and cut off that reporter when she began to ask it again.
