Larry Kudlow Marks One Year with Top Business Program as Fox Business Dominates

Larry Kudlow’s Fox Business show “Kudlow” has now been the number one business news program on Cable for a year. “Kudlow” airs at 4 pm est on Fox Business.

“Kudlow” drew in 299,000 total viewers in February compared to CNBC’s “Closing Bell” which only brought in 200,000, approximately a 50% advantage.

Kudlow was the Director of the National Economic Council under former and possible future President Trump. He started his career as an analyst at the New York Federal Reserve, and has also worked on Wall-street and served in the President Ronald Regan administration.

In the 1990s, Kudlow left Wall Street and became an economic media commentator, he cohosted a show on CNBC with Jim Cramer, called “Kudlow and Cramer”.

“Varney & Co” was also one of the top 10 programs according to Nielsen Media Research. The show hosted by Stuart Varney drew in 282,000 total viewers for February. This was 39% more than “Squawk on the Street/TechCheck”.

Another Fox Business show, “Mornings with Maria”, also beat out CNBC’s “Squawk Box”. “Mornings with Maria” has seen a 25% growth in viewership in ages 24-54 year over year.

Fox Business is a financial news channel, which delivers real-time information that impacts both Main Street and Wall Street.

Ratings per Nielsen Media Research for the month of February showed, during the business day and market hours, Fox Business’ ratings toppled CNBC.

Currently, Fox Business is on its way to a year with top ratings during the business day as February marked its 11th consecutive month of beating out CNBC in viewership.
