Sunday near Minneapolis, MN experienced more riots. This after a man was shot and died while allegedly fleeing police. Currently, the city of Minneapolis and the surrounding area is already on edge as the trial for the officer involved in the arrest that allegedly lead to George Floyd’s death is underway. Minneapolis experienced numerous riots last year as a result of the incident which appeared to be lead by BLM. Many businesses were looted destroyed and even burned down in the wake of the riots.
It appears that Daunte had a warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear to court earlier this month, for carrying an illegal weapon and fleeing police. Daunte’s Brother Bryant has claimed that Daunte didn’t know he had a warrant out for his arrest. Bryant said, “So he called my mom. And she said put me on the phone with the officer, but he already told him his name not thinking he had a warrant, you know, cops came back to the car and the original stop was for air fresheners.” The family has also made claims that the stop was about air fresheners in the car, this has not been corroborated by police.
Andy Ngo reported this morning, “Latest #BLM violence near Minneapolis sparked by police shooting of #DaunteWright. He was wanted on a warrant when he attempted to flee by car. He was shot & drove a distance before crashing into others. His FB is filled w/him flashing gang signs, using drugs & showing off cash. The claim from #DuanteWright‘s mother & #BLM activists that he was killed by police over air fresheners is unsubstantiated. There was a warrant for his arrest. He resisted arrest & got back in the vehicle & tried to speed off. He nearly killed others during the failed escape. Update: #DaunteWright was in the process of getting arrested by @BPPD for a weapons charge & escaping police before he was killed yesterday, sparking #BLM race rioting & looting. The criminal complaint says he had an illegal Ruger .45 pistol. He skipped his court date this month.”

Ngo’s tweets show pictures from Daunte’s Facebook that show him showing off cash and a gun. Ngo claims Daunte’s Facebook is littered with pictures of him do the same as well as using drugs and flashing gang signs. This traffic stop gone wrong escalated quickly last night into rioting which we previously reported on:
“Based on news reports of a police-involved shooting and a long Twitter thread showing many different videos, it appears there is another riot going on in Minnesota, sadly. It appears there was a shooting in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Mayor Mike Elliot tweeted:
“The officer shooting in Brooklyn Center today is tragic. We are asking the protesters to continue to be peaceful and that peaceful protesters are not dealt with with force.”

Multiple videos showing rioting going on in Minneapolis can be seen below. Some of these videos may potentially have violence and cursing in them, so viewer discretion is advised. In one of the videos, you can see an angry mob jumping on top of and destroying a police SUV.
In another clip, you can see police cars leaving the area as rioters wave Black Lives Matter flags and throw things at the police cars. We can only assume there are liberal politicians in charge of the police telling them they can’t do very much about the rioting and disarray. Many liberal politicians actually support rioters in some aspects.
Some had signs honoring the late George Floyd.“
Minneapolis and its surrounding areas have seen numerous riots over the last year and it seems that it will continue. With the trail underway and the country watching these riots just add to the tensions brewing. We will try to keep up to date with the ongoing situation in Minnesota.
