Lauren Boebert Makes Her Position Clear, ‘Any Unauthorized Foreign Object That Enters American Airspace Should Be Immediately Shot Down’

U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) today made her position clear when it comes to unauthorized foreign objects entering American airspace.

Boebert declared in a tweet that she believes that any unauthorized foreign object entering American airspace “should be immediately shot down.”

“Any unauthorized foreign object that enters American air space should be IMMEDIATELY shot down!” Boebert insisted in the tweet, emphasizing immediately.

As we reported yesterday, it was announced that at Joe Biden’s direction, the U.S. Military has shot down a “high-altitude object” over Alaska.

Alaska GOP Gov. Mike Dunleavy said in a statement following the announcement, “This latest intrusion into our airspace raises serious questions about the White House’s decision to not shoot down a Chinese spy balloon last week when it was above the Aleutian Chain and prevent it from flying over important military sites in the Lower-48.”

The Pentagon press secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder made it clear that the object was “not similar in size or shape” to the Chinese spy balloon.

Additionally, Ryder noted that the object was flying at an altitude of 40k feet and “posed a reasonable threat to the safety of civilian flight.”

“U.S. Northern Command is beginning recovery operations now,” Ryder announced, adding that there is no knowledge yet of the object’s “capabilities, purpose, or origin.”

Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council in the White House John Kirby first announced the incident during today’s White House press briefing.

Kirby also didn’t have many details beyond confirming an object that was smaller than the Chinese spy balloon, “the size of a small car,” had been shot down.

When asked about it, Kirby responded, “We’re calling this an object because that’s the best description we have right now.”

“We do not know who owns it, whether it’s state-owned or corporate-owned or private-owned, we just don’t know,” Kirby explained.
