LeBron James Attempts to Profit From Phrase Laura Ingraham Used Against Him With Move to Trademark ‘Shut up and Dribble’

It was reported earlier today that LeBron James’ company Uninterrupted has filed a new trademark for the phrase “Shut up and dribble.”

Fox News’ Laura Ingraham used the phrase against James in February 2018 in response to an interview where he discussed the political climate in the United States and after his Los Angeles residence was vandalized when it was spray-painted with a racial slur.

The company would have the right to use the phrase on virtual goods such as clothing, sports equipment and toy, podcasts, motion picture films, and clothing.

In a 2020 tweet, while Black Lives Matter was rioting and burning cities, James attempted to defend the chaos by sharing a clip of Ingraham’s attack in 2018.

“If you still haven’t figured out why the protesting is going on. Why we’re acting as we are is because we are simply F-N tired of this treatment right here! Can we break it down for you any simpler than this right here????” James asked.

“And to my people don’t worry I won’t stop until I see CHANGE!!! #ShutUpAndDribbleThisPowerfulBlackManComingFullSteam” James added.

The clip that he shared also showed Ingraham’s reaction to comments that Brees had made at the time where he had said, “I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country.”

Ingraham had said of Brees that “He’s allowed to have an opinion.”

Protesters in New Orleans, who were blocking the highway over George Floyd’s death, chanted “F*ck Drew Brees.”
