Left-Wing Activist Arrested By Capitol Police After Brandishing Baseball Bat and Biting One of the Officers

A left wing activist was arrested by Capitol Police today after brandishing a baseball bat and then biting one of the officers who attempted to disarm her.

The woman was identified by Capitol Police as Olivia Romano, 25, who they said “appeared agitated” and “started yelling at our officers” around 9:30 a.m.

Romano allegedly then attacked the Capitol Police officers who tried to take the baseball bat from her, as they said in a statement, “When she raised the bat, the officers attempted to take it. In that moment, the woman became combative and bit one of the officers.”

ABC 7News reported that Romano was screaming to defund police.

The Post Millennial uncovered one of Romano’s tweets, which was made at 8:40 a.m. and she can be seen in a picture holding the bat up to her chin while giving a “peace” sign.

“Today’s the day. Headed to #WashingtonDC to protect our Indigenious Water Protectors & allies being illegally arrested by @POTUS@JoeBiden Secret Service for peacefully protesting. This shit cannot stand. We The People are taking back our power. #GeneralStrike#RevolutionNow,” Romano said in the tweet.

NBC 4 reporter Scott MacFarlane tweeted out about the arrest and “content creator” Andrew Leyden responded with pictures of the arrest, the bandaged officer, and the crime scene.

The picture of the arrest showed Romano being handcuffed behind her back while she was lying on her side.

The Associated Press (AP) reported that nearly 80 people were arrested on the fifth day of the “People vs. Fossil Fuels” protest, which organizers say brings the total arrested during the week to more than 600.

Capitol Police said 78 people were arrested on obstruction or crowding charges and three of those arrested also were charged with assault on a police officer, according to the AP.’

Last week, we reported:

Left-wing protesters today descended on the White House in Washington D.C. and vandalized the Andrew Jackson statue with the words, “Expect us.”

The Indigenous Environmental Network bragged about the vandalism in a tweet where they shared pictures from the protest and attempted to define the vandalism as the statue being “redecorated.”

“The Andrew Jackson statue at the @WhiteHouse was redecorated! Today is #IndigenousPeoplesDay but don’t get it twisted, colonization is not over,” the network insisted.

The network then claimed, “Native ppls are still fighting settler violence via fossil fuel extraction across Turtle Island! #PeopleVsFossilFuels
