Leftist Dixie Chicks Band Caves to Mob, Changes Name to ‘The Chicks’

As the leftist rage mob continues to pressure companies, municipalities, and other groups to change names and historical monuments, another one has bitten the dust. This comes with a twist of irony since the country music band “The Dixie Chicks” is a left-wing country music band to begin with, who ticked off much of their own fan base a long time ago.

Natalie Maines slammed President George W. Bush back in 2003, despite the fact that the Bush family has proven to be about as moderate as they come in hindsight.

No matter, The band has stayed true to their left-wing root along the way. When things started getting really bizarre and the company that produces “Aunt Jemima” syrup agreed that the brand and logo was ‘racially insensitive’, many people have prognosticated on what might come next, and some conservatives sarcastically called for the left-wing Dixie Chicks to change their Confederate related name.

Tim Dillon on Twitter had this to say:

“Workers are trampled on in America and the response is to rename the Dixie Chicks. People go bankrupt over healthcare and we talk about diversity on Saturday Night Live. The problem is that poor people and communities are ignored while rich liberals do guilt yoga on Instagram.” See tweet:

This move comes shortly after another country music band, Lady Antebellum changed to “Lady A”. Well, the left doesn’t get a pass from their own rage mobs. The Dixie Chicks are now, “The Chicks”. The fans can decide what they think but to me, it doesn’t seem to have the same ring to it. Rolling Stone reported:

The Dixie Chicks have officially dropped the “Dixie” from their name. The iconic country-pop trio of Natalie Maines, Emily Strayer, and Martie Maguire are now simply called “The Chicks,” changing their website URL and their Instagram handle to the new name on Thursday.

On their website, the trio only offered this statement: “We want to meet this moment.” In a press statement, they added, “A sincere and heartfelt thank you goes out to ‘The Chicks’ of [New Zealand] for their gracious gesture in allowing us to share their name. We are honored to co-exist together in the world with these exceptionally talented sisters. Chicks Rock!”

What band name, brand name, or street name will come next? Your guess is as good as mine. This ‘cultural shift’ comes after protests, rioting and looting ensued from the Minneapolis, Minnesota Police involved death of George Floyd, which have persisted for weeks and caused cultural disarray, the likes of which the United States has never before seen. This civil unrest has even caught President Trump off guard as he tries to play catch up with an executive order planned to stop destruction of monuments around the nation.
