During the House Judiciary Committee hearing in NYC on “Victims of Violent Crime in Manhattan,” a mother whose son was murdered by a gang of people he didn’t know testified.
Madeline Brame was there to speak about how some of her son’s alleged murderers were given plea deals after Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg took over.
Brame introduced herself as the mother of slain retired army sergeant Hason Correa. Correa was stabbed to death in 2018 when he was jumped by four individuals.
It took years for the cases to go to court. Brame shared, “When Alvin Bragg came into office he was handed a strong trial-ready murder case and gang assault case against all four of these individuals where this brutal savage homicide was captured on video.”
“As soon as he took office the case immediately began to unravel,” she stated. “He dismissed completely dismissed gang assault and murder indictments against two of the defendants clearly on video participating in the brutal savage slaughter of my son.”
Brame went on about Mary Saunders, sister of the three other males charged in the savage fatal stabbing of Correa. Mary was recharged with assault with a shoe and sentenced to one year time served. She is now walking the streets of New York as a free woman.
The other participant with charges dismissed was Travis Saunders who was recharged with attempted gang assault, Saunders pled guilty to the new charges and was sentenced to seven years.
Brame revealed, “Travis will be out in the next eighteen months.”
She then went back to Mary, “This savage is currently walking the streets of Harlem like she just didn’t participate in the brutal slaughter of another human being. Home with her family home with her children. IF THAT’S NOT A THREAT TO PUBLIC SAFETY I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS!”
“She is capable at any moment of snapping and attacking someone and holding them as someone else plunges a butcher knife into their body, nine times and another person twelve times. Run away and leave their body in the street to bleed to death.”
Brame then zeros in on DA Bragg, “This is the type of criminal element we have walking the streets of New York City on a daily basis. All types of criminal elements free to do what they want when they want however they want to whomever they want with no consequences no deterrence.”
“They are doing absolutely nothing and I propose not another dime of our federal dollars be pumped into these organizations until they can produce some measurable outcomes of the effectiveness of what they are doing with our tax dollars, to protect the public.”
“And as far as the Manhattan District Attorney’s office if he is receiving one penny of federal dollars you need to pull that funding until he starts doing his damn job and prosecuting crime.”
Brame’s testimony was very powerful. Brame is unhappy with Bragg’s handling of the prosecution of those responsible for her son’s murder.
Many others are set to testify before the House Judiciary panel today. It seems Democrats and their voters aren’t concerned with crime as long as it doesn’t hurt them directly and they keep their government freebies.
