Man Dangles From Rope off Chicago Trump Tower and Reportedly Demands to Speak to The President

An evolving scene is happening in Chicago right now where a man is reportedly dangling off the 16th floor of the Trump Tower and demanding to speak to the president.

According to the Insider Paper, Police and CPD’s SWAT team responded to the skyscraper, 401 North Wabash, shortly before 6 p.m. A police negotiator was responding to the scene. Some 911 callers reported that the man streamed his demand to speak with Trump on Facebook Live.

The Sun Times reported that an employee at the London House, which sits directly across the street from Trump Tower, said the person had been up there for over an hour and the employee declined to give his name.

Another report stated that the man who has been dangling from Trump tower’s lower rooftop deck since about 5:15 p.m. is in his 20s.

The most recent Chicago Sun Times update says that a crowd of onlookers gathered across from the tower, some wondering if it was part of a stunt for the upcoming Batman movie, which has been shooting in the city recently.

Overnight Friday, members of the United Steelworkers union brought their traveling “bat light” and projected the words “Biden-Harris” in blazing blue letters over President Donald Trump’s name on his hotel and condo building overlooking the Chicago River.

The “bat light” also made appearances on Wrigley Field, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Theatre. Biden Platform Committee Member Chris D. Jackson shared a picture of the projection on his Twitter feed.
