Marjorie Taylor Greene Returns to Twitter After 7 Day Suspension, Touts GETTR as a ‘Very American’ Social Media Platform

U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) returned today to Twitter after a 7 day suspension following another supposed violation of Twitter’s rules and touted GETTR as a “Very American” social media platform.

Last Monday, Greene tweeted that the FDA should not approve the COVID-19 vaccines because “There are too many reports of infection & spread of #COVID19 among vaccinated people. These vaccines are failing & do not reduce the spread of the virus & neither do masks. Vaccine mandates & passports violate individual freedoms.”

Twitter labeled the tweet as misleading and prevented it from being, liked, commented on, or retweeted.

The suspension marks at least the third and toughest penalty Twitter has imposed on Greene.

Greene was suspended for 12 hours from Twitter in January, less than a month after taking office, for “multiple violations” of its civic integrity policy.

Twitter suspended Greene again last month for 12 hours for essentially the same thing as this time.

Greene was also temporarily suspended in March but was reinstated after Twitter claimed its automated systems had acted in error.

In her return tweet today, Greene stated, “After 7 days of Twitter jail, I just have to say @GettrOfficial is GREAT! Terrorist like the Taliban don’t have an account. GETTR doesn’t send me emails about violating German law. And I have freedom of speech, absolutely love it! GETTR is very American! #MTG4America.”

Florida Republican Congressional candidate Lavern Spicer responded to Greene’s tweet, “Welcome back girl!”

In a subsequent Tweet, Greene addressed the situation in Afghanistan where she demanded, “All Americans should be taken out of Afghanistan FIRST! All Afghan refugees should be held elsewhere and vetted right now, NOT given direct entry into the U.S. And we should re-instate the Remain In Mexico policy to do the same at the southern border. Prioritize #AmericaFirst

Last night, Greene spoke with Steve Bannon on “War Room Pandemic” and revealed that her team is currently drafting articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden.

Earlier today, we reported that U.S. Sen Rick Scott (R-FL) asked in a tweet, “Is Joe Biden capable of discharging the duties of his office, or has the time come to exercise the provisions of the 25th Amendment?”

It is clear that Republicans must continue to step up the pressure and it will soon become a game of whack-a-mole for
Twitter to try to suppress these opinions.
