A massive tornado touched down in Little Rock, AR earlier today. It has been declared a mass casualty incident.
Nick Sortor shared a video of the tornado on Twitter:
“#BREAKING: A mass casualty incident has been declared after an extremely large, violent tornado touched down near Little Rock, AR. People are being rushed to hospitals in police cars. This storm system is moving east toward Memphis. I’m en route.”

Political analyst Matt Couch also shared about the aftermath of the tornado that wreaked havoc in his state.
“Little Rock Police are heroes and have been transporting people to hospitals because there are not enough ambulances to respond to the event.. 600+ injured, number expected to rise.. No number of fatalities have been confirmed yet. Pray for my state of Arkansas.”

Republican Governor of Arkansas, Sarah Sanders declared a state of emergency.
“Here at the Capitol I just signed an executive order declaring that a State of Emergency exists in the State of Arkansas due to today’s severe weather. We will spare no resource to assist with response and recovery efforts for Arkansans impacted.“
