Megyn Kelly Speculates It’s ‘Too Late’ for CNN Since They ‘Already Told Half the Country They Hate Them’

On her podcast, Megyn Kelly declared it’s “too late” for CNN to fix their ratings because they told half the country “they hate them”.

Kelly said, “2015, I liked CNN a lot”. Kelly then explained to her guest, “They’re trying to turn things around right now. People ask me all the time: Do you think CNN can be saved? Now they have new management and new ownership I think a new commitment to try to win back some Republican viewers.”

Kelly then expressed what she sees as the dismal truth for CNN, “Personally, I think it’s too late. They’ve already told half the country that they hate them.”

Kelly’s guest CNN commentator Katharine Ham shared about her experience in 2016, “It was a good time. I felt like we were presenting all the possible takes, including Trump-critical conservatives, which I was more on the side of, and Trump-favorable conservatives.”

Then when Trump won the 2016 presidential election, Zucker decided, according to Ham, “now we have to be part of rectifying the situation.”

Ham believes the new people in charge of the network, “are trying to bring in people who understand this other part of the country that many people on air in national news media just don’t have contact with.”

CNN+ was shut down quickly after it was launched and Biran Stelter was let go for being too partisan. Don Lemon was taking off his late-night spot and giving a morning show.

CNN has yet to see any fruit from all the moves that have come under the new leadership as they are still lagging quite behind Fox News in the ratings.

Spending so many years on an attack against half the country may be hard to rectify and if it ever happens it will probably take a lot of time to heal the wounds.
