Mike Pence Breaks Silence, Admits He Hasn’t Spoken to Donald Trump Since ‘Last Summer’ and Insists They ‘Parted Amicably’

In an interview last night on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Mike Pence admitted that he hasn’t spoken to Donald Trump since “last summer.”

Watters asked him during the interview, “When was the last time you talked to former President Trump? You guys good?”

“You know, we talked last summer,” Pence insisted.

Pence continued, “And you know I’ve said many times,” and then appeared to search for the right words.

“January 6th was difficult, it was a tragic day in the life of the nation. I know I did my duty under the constitution of the United States,” Pence declared.

Pence then answered the second part of Watters question and insisted, “The president and I sat down in the days that followed that, we spoke about it, talked through it, we parted amicably.”

In December, Trump appeared to somewhat confirm what Pence had said in a statement where he called his former vice president, a “Good man, but big mistake on not recognizing the massive voter fraud and irregularities.”

That statement was in response to a CBN interview where Pence said, “I Believe There Were Irregularities” in regards to the 2020 Election.

“I know in my heart of hearts that on that day, we did our duty, under the Constitution… I don’t know if President Trump and I will ever see eye to eye on that day. Or that many of our most ardent supporters will agree with my decision that day. But I know I did the right thing,” Pence added at the time.
