Mitt Romney Comes Clean to Jake Tapper: ‘Don’t Expect Trump to Go Quietly Into the Night’

Recently, failed presidential candidate and Utah Senator Mitt Romney (R) spoke to Jake Tapper on CNN. Although many major media outlets have projected that Joe Biden has won the 2020 presidential election and is now president-elect, Donald Trump has yet to concede the race.

He says he wants the votes in swing states to be double-checked for validity and is pursuing many legal options. Meanwhile, Mitt Romney is admitting that President Trump isn’t going to give up quite yet.

“You’re not going to change the nature of President Trump in these last days, apparently, of his presidency… He’s going to keep on fighting until the very end, but I’m convinced that once all remedies have been exhausted if those are exhausted in a way that’s not favorable to him, he will accept the inevitable. But don’t expect him to go quietly into the night, that’s not how he operates…” Romney went on to say “I think we get behind the new president unless for some reason that’s overturned..”.

So even Romney has hinted that there is a chance of President Trump surprising the world in his opinion. He would not say who he voted for when asked by Jake Tapper. “I’m not going to put aside conservative principles” he went on to say, in a show of trying to prove that he isn’t actually a Democrat, just a Trump hater, (if you believe it) WATCH:

Whatever happens, one thing is for sure. Donald Trump will always go down as someone who was the President of the United States, and in the opinion of about 71 million voters, he did a darn good job.

Mitt Romney is just a bitter Senator who will never be the president no matter how hard he tried. No amount of Trump bashing will ever change that fact. Mitt only gets the consolation prize, gloating, which is not a very noble prize at all.
