MTG Challenges AOC to a Debate on the Green New Deal Economic Policy

We reported on Monday that U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) announced the passing of her beloved father and hinted at a possible hiatus.

It appears, however, that she has not stepped away from Twitter at least, as she continued to Tweet yesterday and now this morning she sent out a challenge to the leader of “The Squad.”

Greene tagged U.S. House Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and said, “I’d like to challenge you to a debate on the Green New Deal economic policy.”

“Since you sponsored the Green New Deal and have a degree in Economics, I’m sure you are more than qualified,” Greene pointed out, sarcastically.

Touting her own credentials, Greene stated, “I just have a degree in Business Admin and have owned a construction company for 20 years.”

“A debate between AOC and I on the Green New Deal economic policy would be informative for the American People,” Greene believes, and added, “They deserve to hear the two sides with pro’s and cons.”

Greene tagged Cortez again and said that she could “choose one moderator” and Greene would “choose a moderator.”

“Then we can negotiate a major news network to host the debate,” Greene suggested.

Greene concluded, “Let’s do this for The People,” and asked, “What do you say?”

A public debate between these two Congresswomen would definitely be must see TV and would give the people a chance to see what they are capable of on a big stage.

Last week, we reported that Greene outraised Ocasio-Cortez in the first quarter this year, despite being stripped of her committee assignments.

Political consultant Spence Rogers commented “That means the right has more small dollar donor potential than the left if people would just fight for America and our principles.”
