‘Overjoyed’ Donna Brazile Calls Biden’s Supreme Court Pick a ‘Unifying Force’

Former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile was part of the “Powerhouse Roundtable” today on ABC’s “This Week.”

During the segment, an “Overjoyed” Brazile called Joe Biden’s Supreme Court pick, Judge Kentanji Brown Jackson, a “unifying force.”

In a clip shared by the show’s Twitter feed, Brazile began by addressing host George Stephanopoulos and told him, “George I’m overjoyed just hearing it.”

“I saw the picture of the two of them in the Oval Office and I sent that around yesterday because I’m like when are we going to see this again in our lifetime,” Brazile continued.

Brazile then touted some of Brown Jackson’s credentials and claimed that “She’s very qualified. Confirmed by the United States Senate three times with bipartisan support.”

“She is, I think, she is going to perform very well, once she’s able to do her rounds. She’s a unifying force,” Brazile insisted.

It appears the picture that Brazile referenced, Biden tweeted on Friday which shows him and Brown Jackson in the Oval Office in black and white.

“For too long, our government and our courts haven’t looked like America. I believe it’s time that we have a Court that reflects the full talents and the greatness of our nation, with a nominee of extraordinary qualifications — Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson,” Biden declared in the tweet.
