Actor Randy Quaid voiced support today for Elon Musk to take over Twitter because “free speech has no limitations.”
In a tweet, Quaid explained, “Without hate speech there is no free speech. Free speech has no limitations.”
“Let the haters hate! Let the lovers love! And let @elonmusk take over Twitter!” Quaid declared.

Quaid’s tweet triggered many on the left, who descended on it to tell him what they thought of his opinion.
One left-wing Twitter user lectured Quaid, “Free speech is Literally Limited to the government. Only, public platforms are free to Limit all they want!”

Another Anti-Trumper told Quaid, “Except you know on a private companies platform where they make the rules and you agree to them. This isn’t hard Wrong Randy.”

A “resister” responded to Quaid by suggesting, “Free speech is one thing but gaslighting and disinformation is another.”

Meanwhile, the mainstream media is trying its hardest to repel Musk’s attempt by writing various articles criticizing the potential takeover.
A recent Yahoo! Finance article was titled, “An Elon Musk-owned Twitter could be bad for advertisers.”
Ad executives are concerned that the entrepreneur’s freewheeling approach to speech could make the social media platform less safe for brands, the article claimed.
Carter Murray, investor and marketing expert and former global CEO of ad agency FCB, wrote in an email that “Major advertisers today are naturally worried about a Musk-Twitter world.”
It is likely that Musk could find various sources of revenue for the social media platform regardless.
