An article released by Axios earlier claims that Democrats are so convinced that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo could be considered for Joe Biden’s attorney general that aides at the National Governors Association, which Cuomo chairs, are looking into contingencies for replacing him.
Some Democratic donors in Cuomo’s orbit have told Axios that the governor is being pushed for the job and that Biden would consider him, based on their long friendship.
Names like former acting AG Sally Yates and Stacey Abrams are believed to also be on a list of AG candidates and Yates name is now trending on Twitter.
Left-Wing “historian” Kevin M. Kruse was one who was clearly not supportive of the potential pick, saying, “It is waaaaaaaaaay too early to talk about Andrew Cuomo as attorney general. Save that for never in my lifetime.”
1. It is way too early to talk about potential cabinet picks in a hypothetical Biden administration. Save this for after the election.

LGBTQ activist Charlotte Clymer believes it’s a no-brainer. “Sally Yates is the next Attorney General. Let’s not complicate this, y’all,” she tweeted.

Axios said that Cuomo’s team denies that the governor has any interest in serving in a potential Biden Cabinet and that the nominee is committed — and under pressure — to name a racially and gender-diverse Cabinet, including the marquee posts.
Gov. Cuomo has recently been under fire for threatening to close “religious institutions” in NYC and groups in the city filed a lawsuit against him over the restrictions.
