Condolences poured in today after it was reported that U.S. Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (R-IN) had died tragically in a car crash along with three others.
The other two who were killed in the same car as Walorski, Zachery Potts and Emma Thomson, worked on her staff.
In a Truth Social post on Walorski’s passing, the 45th President Donald Trump referenced the pair.
“Jackie was a wonderful woman and an impassioned advocate for the people of Indiana,” Trump explained.
Strategist Alex Bruesewitz shared Trump’s post in a tweet where he reported, “President Trump reacts to the passing of Rep. Jackie Walorski.”
“Praying for her family during this difficult time,” Bruesewitz added.

Journalist Julie Kelly called out the Washington Post for what the newspaper chose to include in the report on Walorski’s passing.
“A Donald Trump supporter, Walorski voted against impeaching the former president in 2021 for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, which resulted in the deaths of one police officer and four others and injured more than 100 law enforcement officers,” the Post reported
Kelly quipped in response, “Ghouls.”

Walorski’s office issued a statement that said:
“Dean Swihart, Jackie’s husband, was just informed by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s office that Jackie was killed in a car accident this afternoon.”
“She has returned home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.”
“In addition to the devastating loss of Congresswoman Walorski, it is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of two dedicated members of her staff, Zach Potts and Emma Thomson.”
“They were the epitome of public servants who cared deeply about the work they performed on behalf of the constituents of Indiana’s Second Congressional District.”
