Rittenhouse Prosecutor Refers to Drew Hernandez as a ‘Veteran’ of Protests After Previously Attempting to Discredit Him as a Journalist

In a stunning turn of events, Thomas Binger, the prosecutor in the Kyle Rittenhouse murder case referred to Drew Hernandez as a “veteran” of protests after previously attempting to discredit him as a journalist.

As WISN 12 News pointed out in a previous article, Binger had attempted to say that Hernandez “wasn’t a credible source because of his alleged bias.”

Binger then tried to use Hernandez, who was a defense witness to prove a point to the jury during his closing arguments, explaining the different places where he has covered “protests.”

In a clip shared by journalist Tayler Hansen, Binger begins by discussing a witness he had previously called to the stand and journalist, Richie McGinniss.

“He saw guys on the roof, these guns were the thing that changed the dynamic for him,” Binger said of McGinniss.

Binger then brought Hernandez into the conversation by suggesting, “Drew Hernandez, we showed video of Drew Hernandez having laser sights pointed at him and he said he felt threatened, he thought someone was pointing a gun from the roof and pointing his life in jeopardy.”

“These are two people who are veterans, they’ve been to protests, Seattle, Portland, Washington D.C., New York, they’ve been through this before and yet here in little old Kenosha, the defendants group made them fear for their lives,” Binger explained.

Binger concluded in the clip having shared a slide summing up what he said and claimed, “That’s the kind of impact these AR-15s have.”

Hernandez quote tweeted the clip from Hansen and said incredulously, “bruh,” along with a laughing face emoji.
