Rob Schneider tells Garth Brooks to ‘Just Shut Up’ About Bud Light

Legendary comedian and actor Ron Schneider believes that country singer Garth Brooks’ ‘ego’ is behind his resolve to announce he will serve Bud Light at his soon-to-open bar.

Schneider’s advice to Brooks is, “Just shut up, say I have nothing to do with it”.

Schneider told Fox News, “I think next time, he’s going to stay out of it. Isn’t he? I think Garth Brooks, next time, is going to shut his mouth, and he’s going to pretend like ‘I don’t have anything to do with what beer is chosen in my restaurant”.

Brooks was on  Billboard Country Live earlier this month where he made his stance on the Bud Light boycott clear.

 “I know this sounds corny. I want it to be the Chick-fil-A of honky-tonks … I want it to be a place you feel safe in, I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another. And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are. It’s not our decision to make. Our thing is this, if you [are let] into this house, love one another. If you’re an a–hole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway,” he told host Melinda Newman.

He then later made sure to double down. He shared on his live stream ‘Inside Studio G,’ “I get it, everybody’s got their opinions. But inclusiveness is always going to be me.”

“I get it, everybody’s got their opinions. But inclusiveness is always going to be me. I think diversity is the answer to the problems that are here and the answer to the problems that are coming. So I love diversity. All-inclusive, so all are welcome. I understand that might not be other people’s opinions, but that’s OK, man. They have their opinions, they have their beliefs. I have mine,” he added.

Many have replied to Brooks’s announcement sharing they will be getting rid of any of the country singer’s music they may own.

Bud Light and its parent company Anheuser Busch have faced boycotts. This started after transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney shared a video in which it was unveiled Bud Light had sent a can of beer to the activist featuring her image. The video announcement was swiftly met backlash from Bud Light consumers and a boycott ensued.
