In a press conference today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was joined by Attorney General Ashley Moody and state sheriffs as he made a major announcement. To preserve America, keep Americans safe and enforce current laws, Florida will be joining with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Republicans in Arizona to do something about massive flows of illegal immigrants coming into the nation.
This comes as the United States experiences an incredible vacuum of power as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have refused to do anything effective to solve the issues at the southern border of the United States. Florida is going to be allocating resources to help Arizona and Texas specifically, as Republicans there such as Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers plan to combat the crisis in lieu of the presidential leadership vacuum.
WPTV reported in part:
During a news conference at the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office in Pensacola, DeSantis said Florida is the first state to provide mutual aid to Arizona and Texas, whose Republican governors sent a letter seeking help after President Joe Biden rolled back the immigration policies of former President Donald Trump.
Standing in front of a podium with a sign affixed to it that read, “Secure our border, secure our states,” DeSantis was joined by Attorney General Ashley Moody and sheriffs throughout Florida.
DeSantis said the action was necessary “because of the failure of the Biden administration to secure our southern border and, indeed, to really do anything constructive about what is going on in the southern border.”
In making his case for why the issue is one that impacts the safety of all Florida residents, DeSantis referenced a May incident in Martin County in which an 82-year-old woman was “raped by a criminal illegal alien.”
“I mean, how disgusting?” he said. “This guy had been arrested. (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) had never — was not willing to take him and remove him — and so he ends up committing a dastardly act against an elderly resident in Martin County.”
Arizona State Senator Rogers had this to say about the major announcement:
“Outstanding thank you @RonDeSantisFL @GovRonDeSantis“

Meanwhile, former President Trump plans to visit the border himself and meet with Abbott, to show up Kamala Harris. We will see what he has to say about this major developing situation out of the state of Florida. We reported about that here in part:
Today, former President Donald Trump said that he has accepted an invitation from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) to join him at the country’s southern border on Wednesday, June 30 after Abbott announced Texas would build its own border wall last Thursday.
Trump said in a press release that President Joe Biden’s administration has created the “single worst border crisis in U.S. history” and pointed out that when his administration left office, the border was strong, safe, and secure.
In the statement, Trump slammed Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for not visiting the border or visiting with Border Patrol or Immigration and Customs Enforcement and that their lack of response doesn’t help the “unmitigated disaster zone.”
“Our brave border agents and courageous ICE officers have been illegally stopped from doing their jobs. Our nation is now one giant sanctuary city where even dangerous criminals are being cut loose and set free inside the U.S interior on a daily basis,” Trump added, with hopes that his visit will show them that they are supported.
Abbott spoke with Sean Hannity on Fox News last night and said that “we want to arrest people and put them in jail for a long time.”
