Schumer: “I Should not Have Used the Words I used Yesterday”… “I’m from Brooklyn”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) just issued a half-hearted apology, but only for the way he worded his statements yesterday. He immediately blew it off as a distortion by the Republicans and said: “I’m from Brooklyn”. “Of course I didn’t intend to suggest anything other than..” political consequences.

It’s funny that a New Yorker from Brooklyn would try to excuse a threat against Supreme Court Justices based on the fact that people in Brooklyn may or may not be ruder or verbally aggressive than people in the rest of the nation. This half-hearted apology comes in the face of Republicans and Democrats alike, shunning Schumer for his words against Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch at a pro-abortion rally yesterday.

It is unclear if this will be good enough for Senate Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), or if he will push to whip votes up for censure of Schumer. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) is already planning on introducing the bill to censure Chuck Schumer today. Standby for updates to this breaking story.
