Republican Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy appeared this morning on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” and discussed the vote that took place today with Judge Amy Coney Barrett to move her nomination out of the committee.
When discussing Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s decision to protest the vote, Kennedy said he couldn’t divulge anything confidential but, “We are prepared for every eventuality.”
Co-Host Ainsley Earhardt asked if him if he had “arrows in your quiver” referencing Nancy Pelosi who said she had arrows in her quiver at the start of the confirmation hearings.
Kennedy replies, “We’ve got knives, arrows, and he does to and on the one hand Senator Schumer is doing his job, on the other hand, and I say this gently as well, right now Chuck’s kinda like a teenager, he’s mad at everybody.”
“We’re going to confirm Judge Barrett and Senator Schumer needs to fill out a hurt feelings report and let’s move on,” Kennedy explained.
Co-host Brian Kilmeade laughs and interjects, “Right I don’t know if they have any of those forms down there.” Kennedy responds, “We can make one up.”
