Shaun King Appears to Have Deactivated His Twitter Account After Claiming ‘White Power’ is Behind Elon Musk’s Decision to Buy Twitter

Left-wing activist Shaun King appears to have deactivated his Twitter account after claiming today that “white power” is behind Elon Musk’s decision to buy Twitter.

Jack Posobiec reported, “BREAKING: @ShaunKing has deleted his Twitter account.”

Using King’s handle, it comes up “This Tweet is from an account that no longer exists,” which typically indicates the account has been deactivated.

King had tweeted earlier today, “”At its root, @ElonMusk wanting to purchase Twitter is not about left vs right. It’s about white power.”

“The man was raised in Apartheid by a white nationalist. He’s upset that Twitter won’t allow white nationalists to target/harass people. That’s his definition of free speech,” King claimed.

On his show tonight, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson highlighted King’s tweet, calling him a “fake black activist on Twitter.”

Carlson laughed about it and mused, “Fake black guy attacking Elon Musk because of his parents?”

As the Blaze noted, Musk has previously said that he grew up in South Africa, but departed when he was 17-years-old, “in part, in order to avoid conscription.”

Musk even explained that “spending two years suppressing black people didn’t seem” like a good utilization of time.
