‘She was 12 and I was 30’ Biden Makes Creepy Acknowledgement of Woman in Audience Mid-Speech

During a speech at the National Education Association headquarters in Washington D.C., Joe Biden stopped to acknowledge a woman in the crowd.

“She was 12 and I was 30,” Biden told the audience as many of them laughed as though that would be a normal thing to say.

Biden prefaced that line by saying, “You gotta say hi to me. We go back a long way.”

After he brought up the previous age difference, Biden attempted to explain by saying, “But anyway, this woman helped me get an awful lot done.”

Fox News’ Jimmy Failla responded to a Townhall clip of the interaction, “Weird that he’s reading Ashley’s Diary out loud …”

Another Twitter user asked, “I’m sorry. Why are people laughing at that?”

The New York Post pointed out that Biden’s historical habit of touching and smelling women and girls in public, often yielding on-camera grimaces from recipients, which earned him the Republican nickname Creepy Joe.”

Since apologizing in 2019 to women who said he made them uncomfortable with unwanted physical contact, he has been more restrained, however.
