One of those charged in Sunday’s domestic terrorism attack in Atlanta reportedly happens to be a staff lawyer for Southern Poverty Law Center. SPLC is a leftist civil rights group well known for slandering conservative and Christian nonprofits as “hate groups.”
Tom Jurgens, staff attorney for SPLC was charged with one count of domestic terrorism according to DeKalb County Jail records.
Jurgens is one of many individuals that were arrested and charged after they under false pretense of peaceful protest changed into black clothing and started a violent riot in which agitators threw rocks Molotov cocktails and fireworks at police and construction equipment at the future site of an Atlanta training facility.

According to LinkedIn Jurgens graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law and took a job with SPLC in 2021.
The group who are linked to Antifa engaged in a “Cop City” protest that quickly turned into a violent riot. The protesters/rioters claimed the new training center would propagate militarized policing and harm the environment.
In a statement issued by Atlanta Police, “Officer exercised restraint and used non-lethal enforcement to conduct arrests.” 35 individuals were detained and “multiple pieces of construction equipment” were destroyed by “fire and vandalism.”
More protests are planned in the coming days.
