A rally of sorts is underway in Washington D.C. today. It is supposed to be in support of the jailed January 6th Capitol rioters. Many say they aren’t being given due process or being treated fairly. Even former President Trump has spoken out about the alleged poor treatment of many who are waiting for trials etc.
The idea of today’s rally isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as no American citizens should be treated poorly for political reasons, and due process should be equal and fair, assuming the allegations are true. Nevertheless, many speculated, including former President Trump, that today’s rally could be a “set-up” to make right-wingers and Trump supporters look bad.
Although a few well-known right-wing activists attended and promoted the event, many online suggested that others sit this one out or stay home. Some even think it is being heavily monitored by intelligence agencies and double agents who may be out to get Republicans in trouble. We can’t prove these speculations of course, but they seem like they certainly could have some warrant.
The fences went back up again for today’s event, and Capitol Police were out in full force, as can be seen in the right half of the featured image on this story and in one of the tweets below. But a viral image of around six or so clean-cut, White males in sunglasses prompted lots of suspicion and speculation on Twitter.
Many suggested they may be secret agents or federal agents there to either monitor the situation or possibly cause trouble. Below are a few of the tweets floating around. To be clear, we have no official knowledge of who these men are or who they are with ourselves.
