U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and the Democrats surely wish that Donald Trump would just go away in our view. After the election in 2020 and the events on January 6th, many ‘NeverTrumpers’ were revealed.
Donald Trump isn’t going anywhere though. After we reported here on the planned meeting between House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and former President Trump, that meeting indeed manifested itself. Although some may see McCarthy himself as part of the ‘swamp’, this action shows in our view that Republicans fully understand Donald Trump’s influence and popularity.
Henry Rodgers reported about the statement put out regarding Trump and McCarthy’s meeting:
“House Republicans and the Trump administration achieved historic results for all Americans. We were able to do this because we listened to and understood the concerns of our fellow citizens that had long been ignored. As a result, House Republicans defied the experts and the media by expanding our growing coalition across the country.
“Today, President Trump committed to helping elect Republicans in the House and Senate in 2022. A Republican majority will listen to our fellow Americans and solve the challenges facing our nation. Democrats, on the other hand, have only put forward an agenda that divides us — such as impeaching a President who is now a private citizen and destroying blue-collar energy jobs. For the sake of our country, the radical Democrat agenda must be stopped.
“A united conservative movement will strengthen the bonds of our citizens and uphold the freedom our country was founded on.”

Breaking 911 posted this picture of former President Donald Trump with Kevin McCarthy captioning it:
“BREAKING: In meeting with @GOPLeader McCarthy, Former President Trump agrees to help GOP take back the House in 2022 “President Trump’s popularity has never been stronger than it is today, and his endorsement means more than perhaps any endorsement at any time,” a statement said”

Although there is no word yet on whether or not Donald Trump plans to run in 2024, it’s clear that as the smoke goes away from the events of January 6th, Donald Trump is still in the game. Meanwhile, there may be others who announce they may run such as Nikki Haley or Mike Pompeo.
Even with a social media ban, we expect any challengers to a possible Trump run to fall short of coming close to the popularity Donald Trump commands with the Republican voter base in our view.
That being said we still don’t know what Donald Trump’s plans for the political future are, although we will stay tuned and keep you updated if that changes. Thanks for following Media Right News and standby.
