On Feb. 1, legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady announced his retirement from the league, after the news was leaked early.
Today, Brady has reversed course and announced that he will return for his 23rd season, at the helm of the Tampa Bay Buccanneers.
Brady explained in a tweet, “These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible.”
“I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG,” Brady declared.

Brady, 44, will be 45-years-old by the time the first game is played in the new year.
He has played the last two seasons in Tampa Bay after playing the first 20 in New England with the Patriots.
It had been rumored that Brady might attempt to play for the San Francisco 49ers if he could be let out of his contract.
