Former President Donald Trump broke his silence on the Bud Light – Anheuser Busch boycott on Truth Social.
“It’s time to beat the Radical Left at their own game. Money does talk—Anheuser-Busch now understands that. Great new Book by Wayne Allyn Root. Buy your copy today!“
The boycott started when trans activist and social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney shared “she” was sent a can of Bud Light with her face on it. The revelation that Bud Light supported and celebrated Mulvaney didn’t sit well with its consumer base.
Kid Rock posted a viral video in response in which he destroyed cases of Bud Light with a gun, sending a clear message he was done with it.
Many others joined in, Travis Tritt removed it from his tour hospitality waiver along with others. John Rich shared that he wasn’t ordering any more product for his bar, and that people stopped buying it.
Anheuser Busch Stock had temporarily declined since the incident, although it has since gone back up. The company’s CEO has tried to put distance between Mulvaney and Bud Light, declaring that it wasn’t a formal campaign.
Alissa Heinerscheid, who was over marketing for Bud Light, and her boss Daniel Blake, who was in charge of Anheuser Busch’s mainstream brands have taken a leave of absence.
There was some speculation that Trump wouldn’t say anything as his most recent FEC disclosure showed he held between 1-5 million in Anheuser Busch stock.
Donald Trump Jr. Was quick to defend Anheuser Busch. He came to the defense of the company on his podcast telling his listeners, “When you actually look into it, they’d be one of the more conservative-leaning companies in America. So they’ve been put on notice. I’m leaving them alone. I think you should probably do the same — if they do it again — they’ve been warned.”
It seems many conservatives are sick of having left wing narratives shoved down their throats, while others will still keep to their daily routines.
