Trump Furious at ‘Grandstanding’ Thomas Massie: ‘Throw Him Out of the GOP’

This morning, the House is ready to vote on the Worker Relief Coronavirus Stimulus Bill but House Rep Thomas Massie (R) is threatening to hold it up. He has threatened to force a roll call vote, compelling leaders in both parties to weigh a contingency plan for moving the package to President Trump’s desk.

House majority leader Steny Hoyer (D) said that if Massie were to force a roll call vote, party leaders expect to have enough lawmakers on the floor to form a quorum, the minimum number of members required to stage a recorded vote. If that’s the case, the House can approve the measure, despite Massie’s objections.

President Trump found out and took to Twitter to blast the self-proclaimed “greenest Congressman”:

Looks like a third rate grandstander Massie, a Congressman from, unfortunately, a truly GREAT State, Kentucky, wants to vote against the new Save Our Workers Bill in Congress. He just wants the publicity. He can’t stop it, only delay, which is both dangerous & costly. Workers & small businesses need money now in order to survive. Virus wasn’t their fault. It is “HELL” dealing with the Dems, had to give up some stupid things in order to get the “big picture” done. 90% GREAT! WIN BACK HOUSE, but throw Massie out of Republican Party!

He followed that up by referencing Kentucky’s second amendment battle:

By empowering the Radical Left Democrats, do nothing Kentucky politician Massie is making their War on the 2nd Amendment more and more difficult to win (But don’t worry, we will win anyway!). He is a disaster for America, and for the Great State of Kentucky!

Massie had tweeted yesterday an economics lesson that seemed to not be backed up with any substantial facts and in another tweet, accused the Republican held Senate of doing “voodoo”:

$2 trillion (Congress) +$4 trillion (Fed & Treasury) – $6 trillion stimulus $6 trillion divided by 350 million citizens = $17,000 per citizen times a family of 4 = $68,000 per family of new national debt and dollar devaluation in this stimulus. Not a good deal. The senate did some voodoo just like with Obamacare. Took a House Bill (HR 748) dealing with taxes, stripped every word, and put their bill in it. The House is just as responsible for killing the origination clause as the Senate. It’s the House’s job to reject the process.
