Trump Physicians Announce Possible Tomorrow Release Date

The physicians treating President Trump at Walter Reed Medical Center gave another press conference regarding his condition. The main takeaway is that his health continues to improve and the president could be discharged as early as tomorrow.

Dr. Brian Garibaldi said Trump was given the steroid dexamethasone in response to what he called “transient low oxygen levels.”

Many are now seeking to make a big deal out of this, as it has been said that it should not be given to someone who has just a mild case of the Coronavirus.

“We found no benefit (and the possibility of harm) among patients who did not require oxygen.”

So dexamethasone was found to be beneficial ONLY in patients on a ventilator OR on oxygen. NOT on patients who don’t need oxygen. There was even the possibility of harm in that patient population.

PBS White House Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor made a very cynical tweet after there was some conflicting information given by Dr. Conley regarding the course of the president’s treatment.

Dr. Conley: “I didn’t want to give any information that might steer the course of illness in another direction and in doing so it came off that we were trying to hide something, which wasn’t necessarily true.”

My Q: How would providing facts steer the course of Trump’s illness?
