Trump Says He’s Ashamed He Endorsed Kemp As the GA Gov. Posts Family Vacation Pics During Major Political Battle

A furious President Trump blasted Georgia Governor Brian Kemp this morning during a telephone interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo and said that he regrets endorsing him.

Trump said of Ga. Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger during the interview, “Everything has to be approved by the legislature, and they had judges making deals, and they had electoral officials making deals, like this character in Georgia who’s a disaster.”

“And the governor’s done nothing,” Trump continued, “I’m ashamed that I endorsed him. But I look at what’s going on, it’s so terrible.”

Meanwhile, Gov. Kemp posted on Friday that it was a “Great day down in South Georgia with Marty and the girls. We have so much to be grateful for this holiday season!”

One response from a user, Doug Thompson, said, “Brian, for the love of God call a special session and prevent what is about to happen. Be remembered as a Patriot! God bless you and your American family.”

Another, Jenny Smith, replied to Kemp, “People no longer support nor trust you!!!! You had a very important job to do and you failed or was bought, either way, you are not trusted!!!!”

On Twitter, some on the left believe that Trump’s frustration with Kemp could affect the Senate runoff elections.

LGBTQ activist Amy Siskind said, “More Republicans infighting ahead of the Georgia runoff. You hate to see it. Womp, womp.” She also added laughing emojis.

Video-maker Meidas Touch claimed that Trump “Continues to throw the GOP under the bus” and shared a graphic remake of a South Park skit showing Trump and Vice President Mike Pence throwing a severed head of Kemp under a bus.
