Trump Slams Claims He Stormed Out of Piers Morgan Interview, Even NBC Appears to Acknowledge Audio Proof

The 45th President Donald Trump slammed claims that he stormed out of a Piers Morgan interview in a statement today.

NBC News was among many mainstream news outlets that appeared to acknowledge the audio proof that was sent by Trump’s spokeswoman Liz Harrington.

In a tweet, Trump declared, “Piers Morgan, like the rest of the Fake News Media, attempted to unlawfully and deceptively edit his long and tedious interview with me.”

“He wanted to make it look like I walked out on the interview when my time limit of 20 minutes went over by an hour,” Trump explained.

As NBC reported, Trump abruptly says at the close of the video clip as he appears to rise from his chair. “Turn the camera off, very dishonest.”

In the audio provided at the end of the interview, the two men laughed and thanked each other, the recording shows.

There are no signs of Trump’s storming off the set as Morgan says out loud, “That was a great interview.”

Trump agrees with him by responding, “yeah.”

Jack Posobiec was one of the first to respond to the news in a tweet, “HOLY SHLIT. They edited that Trump interview to make it look like he stormed off – but Trump just released the real audio and it was actually a long, friendly interview.”

GOP NYC Council Member Joe Borelli said of the apparent edit, “This had to be utterly indefensible conduct and editing by Piers Morgan if NBC is coming out to defend Trump.”
