Tucker Carlson spoke with Maria Bartiromo today on Fox Business about the overreach of big tech in regards to censorship.
Bartiromo mentioned how Carlson was “spied on by the NSA” and that they have not denied it and then pointed out that there is a “partnership” between big government and big tech.
Referencing a situation that occurred where a professor in New Zealand said something China’s ruler Xi Jinping “didn’t like” and had the tweets made unavailable, Bartiromo asked for Carlson’s opinion.
Carlson deadpanned, “Well because they finally pulled off the mask. You want to know who’s in charge, who can’t you criticize?”
“Jack Dorsey doesn’t need any more money… he’s actually a very powerful person in American life,” Carlson continued.
Carlson asked, “You kind of wonder, where’s the Congress in this?”
“In the end we don’t have real power, we can’t change laws, we can’t command troops” Carlson noted.
Carlson added, “The only people who can stand up right now is Republicans in the Congress.., Unfortunately, most of them are very mediocre and dumb and afraid, but they have to step up because there’s nobody else to step up… Where are they?”
Bartiromo called out journalists as well and called it a “sorry state of affairs” that they are “not standing up for free speech.”
“It has gotten dangerous,” Bartiromo insisted.
