Two Top Manhattan DA Prosecutors Leading Investigation Into Trump Org Resign Leaving It ‘In Doubt’

It was reported today that the two prosecutors leading the Manhattan district attorney’s Trump organization investigation resigned today amid a months-long pause in its grand jury presentation.

According to Jonah Bromwich with the New York Times, their departure leaves the future of the investigation “in doubt.”

On Sunday, NBC legal analyst Glenn Kirschner baselessly claimed that Trump “will be indicted” eventually after a recent court ruling compelling him to comply with a civil subpoena.

The resignations by these prosecutors make that unlikely at this point, as the Manhattan DA was supposed to be investigating potential criminal charges.

Liberals were furious after the news was released with many tweeting their outrage about the latest development.

Left-wing Twitter user “Spiro Agnew’s Ghost” lamented, “Absolutely stunned by the utter incompetence of the new Manhattan DA to destroy his investigation into Trump & alienate two incredibly tenacious prosecutors who have simultaneously resigned.”

“DA Bragg makes Trump appear above the law once again & possibly clouds Tish James’ case,” they added.

Newly elected Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg had apparently expressed doubts over moving forward with a case against Trump.

Those doubts likely led to Attorneys Carey R. Dunne and Mark F. Pomerantz stepping down from the case, which runs parallel to a tax fraud probe into the Trump Organization by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Activist Jeff Tiedrich declared, “Donald Trump could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot someone and the Manhattan DA would do exactly jack sh*t, apparently.”
