U.S. Rep. Ralph Abraham (R) recently introduced a measure to expel Nancy Pelosi from the House. Now he is stepping up his game and defending President Trump and his administration’s refusal to comply with Congress’s impeachment hearing inquiry lead by House Speaker Pelosi. Rep. Abraham tweeted out earlier today:
“I support @realDonaldTrump’s refusal to comply with Nancy Pelosi’s illegal and unconstitutional “impeachment inquiry.” She has ignored all established norms and procedures in an attempt to nullify the 2016 election. My resolution would expel her from the House. #SheHasToGo”
Along with his tweeted statement, Ralph Abraham of Louisiana’s fifth congressional district posted the letter that was sent from the White House in response to the inquiry that is being held without a formal vote.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Ralph Abraham, M.D., R-Alto, today called for the expulsion of Representative Nancy Pelosi from the U.S. House of Representatives and introduced a House resolution to that effect. The resolution, H. Res. 620, would also vacate the Office of the Speaker of the House.
“Nancy Pelosi’s vicious crusade against our lawfully-elected President is nothing more than a politically-motivated witch hunt and it must be stopped. She has disgraced the people’s House and weaponized the Speaker’s gavel for her party’s political gain,” said Abraham. “House Democrats spent nearly three years obsessed with election meddling only to dwarf any such efforts with their own deceitful plan to nullify the 2016 election and prevent President Trump from winning in 2020. I have introduced a resolution calling for her to be expelled from the House and for the Speaker’s Office to be vacated.”
Because expelling members of the House and vacating the Speaker’s Office are considered matters internal to the House, they do not require the consent of the Senate or the President.

Rep. Ralph Abraham (R-LA) proposed legislation Tuesday to expel House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) from her position as Speaker of the House over her “politically-motivated witch-hunt” impeachment inquiry.
Congressman Abraham introduced H. Res. 620, a resolution that, if passed through the House, would remove her as Speaker and expel her from the House of Representatives.
It remains to be seen if the expulsion resolution will pick up steam like Rep. Andy Biggs (R) motion to censure and condemn Adam Schiff’s has.
