Singer Bette Midler is a leftist through and through and despises former and possibly future President Donald Trump. However, she and many other clear-cut Democrats are breaking ranks on one particular topic and wreaking havoc within the Democrat cultural lines that continue to get redrawn on an almost daily basis by activists.
These activists motivate Republicans to show up to school board meetings as they continue to move the Overton window leftward, even in moderate Democrat districts and areas like the state of Virginia. This could spell doom in elections coming up, but going against the leftward trend can get fellow Democrats “canceled” by their former friends in out-of-touch circles nonetheless.
Midler has been targeted by Twitter activists for tweeting her fear that women are “being erased” due to recent new transgender cultural norms. We reported on that here:
Here is a video highlighting how Midler is getting “canceled” by fellow Democrats:
A Twitter user highlighted that Democrat and anti-Trump Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars “liked” Midler’s tweet, signaling he may agree. This is far too much for the radical left-wing community.
So now the TRAs are losing their shit because Mark Hamill liked Bette Midler’s tweet 😂#TERFs pic.twitter.com/IgAhUVxD9D

It seems to us that many Democrats think their party has gone too far, but would rather try to change it back than join the GOP. They may not have a choice though, as the left keeps going more left in our opinion.
This shift highlights why centrists who may not even be Trump fans are joining the GOP, such as Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, and others. While Trump may not be thrilled, it could bode well for Republicans overall, which helps Trump by default.
Some speculated about an announcement on July 4th by Trump that he will run for president in 2024. That has not yet come, and we think he may be waiting to see how the GOP does in the upcoming mid-terms to determine his strategy. Many Republicans think it is a foregone conclusion that Trump will run in 2024. However, it is still not official.
