A post is going viral that claims a Cookout restaurant in Rocky Mount, VA refused to serve local police officers. We reached out to the restaurant and spoke to a manager, Andrew, who said that the “HR department is investigating and looking into it.”
Wow ! Never seen Stevie so upset in life before ! if you know him well you know what I mean with that but I don’t blame him and his partner tonight for being upset. They went to cookout in Rocky Mount and they refused to served them. They waited in line for 32 minutes at the drive thru, they let everyone else go pass them to the point that Steve went to the window to ask the reason why his order was not being taken!! and they won’t even look at him, he asked why they were refusing service and they had no answer for him, he asked if it was because he was in a police car, he asked to speak to the manager and he never came to the window! SMH! Really Cookout! This is just beyond upsetting I guess I’ll never put one foot in your premises EVER again! Please support your local police departments! Let’s make this go viral.
The local Black Lives Matter page has denied involvement in the situation. A post read, “we know there are rumors in regard to a situation at Rocky Mount Cookout. Please know we had nothing to do with this situation and are looking into it for clarity!”
Just over a week ago, a rally was held by Black Lives Matter where protesters asked “Do you hear us now?” after a march through the town of Rocky Mount.
