Saturday former President Trump attended UFC 264 in Las Vegas. Trump received a warm welcome to the event as Dana White and security escorted him to his seat.
The event was filled with other celebrities as well including Mel Gibson. Gibson saluted the president in a now-viral video that has been viewed over a million times. The video posted to Twitter by Columbia Bugle can be seen below.
At first, it appears that they were unsure if it really was the actor as the video isn’t the clearest however it was later confirmed that Gibson was there and he did salute the former president.

Columbia Bugle retweeted a video or commentary from Gibson while at the arena and another video which is clearer than the first that shows Gibson saluting the president from another perspective.

On Sunday Dan Scavino tweeted out a well-known snip from Braveheart, one of the movies Mel Gibson starred in and directed. The film is about William Wallace a Scottish patriot who spurred a revolt against the English. The snip is captioned with a line from the movie, “but they’ll never take… OUR FREEDOM!”

Trump is making waves recently with the announcement of his lawsuit against Facebook, Twitter, and Google. He spoke this weekend at CPAC in Texas calling out the left and declaring, “the radical left has methodically taken over every institution in American life”.
