Wendy Rogers Touts Back-to-Back Mentions By Trump In Statements About the Arizona Election Audit

Arizona Republican State Senator Wendy Rogers today touted back-to-back mentions by former President Trump in statements about the Arizona 2020 presidential election audit.

Rogers said in a tweet, “President Trump quoted me twice in his latest statements about the #AZAudit. That should show people that what I am saying is exactly what he is thinking.”

“Election Integrity is the battle of the decade. Let’s get it done,” Rogers explained.

We previously reported on the first mention:

Towards the end of his statement, Trump praised Rogers’ leadership and encouraged the idea that the election should be decertified: “The highly respected State Senator Wendy Rogers said in a tweet the hearing today means we must decertify the election. In any event, the Senate patriots are moving forward with final results to be announced in the not-too-distant future, but based on today’s hearing, why even wait?”

In the second mention, Trump quoted the tweet directly, writing, “Senator Wendy Rogers says ‘I have heard enough. It’s time to decertify this election.”

The Associated Press and others have fact checked Trump’s statements, attempting to cast doubt on the veracity of some of the claims that he made in regards to the audit.

Trump addressed the media in another statement where he stated, “AP and other media outlets are doing major disinformation to try and discredit the massive number of voter irregularities and fraud found in both Arizona and Georgia.”
