In a shocking turn of events, actor Will Smith slapped and cursed out Chris Rock at the Oscars tonight after the comedian made a G.I. jane joke about his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Smith announced last year that she shaved her head after struggling with alopecia and Demi Moore shaved her head for the movie G.I. Jane.
The altercation began when Rock appeared on stage to present the Oscar for documentary feature and joked, “Jada, love ya, GI Jane 2, can’t wait to see it.. aight?”
Everything was not “aight,” however, as Smith rolled her eyes and Rock laughed and said, “That was a nice one.”
Rock attempted to move on as he said, “I’m out here…” then he shifted to, “uh-oh” as Smith charged the stage.
Smith then delivered a hard smack to Rock and returned to his seat and yelled at Rock, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth!”
Ultimately, ABC was forced to censor Smith as he yelled it loud enough to be heard on the broadcast, although unedited versions are now available on Twitter.
Rock told Smith “I’m going to” as the crowd became completely hushed and then Rock moved on to deliver the award.
