With CNN Show Set to Debut, Chris Wallace Says His Time With Fox News Had Become ‘Unsustainable’

CNN+, the new streaming service from the network, is set to debut on Tuesday and along with it, Chris Wallace’s new show, which is set to air Monday through Thursday at 6 p.m. EST.

Wallace was recently interviewed by the New York Times and told them that his time with his former network, Fox News, had become “unsustainable.”

“I just no longer felt comfortable with the programming at Fox. I’m fine with opinion: conservative opinion, liberal opinion … But when people start to question the truth — Who won the 2020 election? Was Jan. 6 an insurrection? — I found that unsustainable,” Wallace said in his first sit-down interview since leaving the network.

Wallace explained, “Before, I found it was an environment in which I could do my job and feel good about my involvement at Fox and since November of 2020, that just became unsustainable, increasingly unsustainable as time went on.”

“Some people might have drawn the line earlier, or at a different point. I think Fox has changed over the course of the last year and a half. But I can certainly understand where somebody would say, ‘Gee, you were a slow learner, Chris,'” Wallace added.

Tim Young mocked the latest revelations by Wallace in a tweet where he noted, “Chris Wallace said he had a problem with Fox News questioning the truth …sooo he got a job at CNN …lol… ok… got it.”

Trump supporter Vince Langman suggested in a tweet, “Donald Trump broke Chris Wallace” along with five laughing face emojis.

Wallace also confirmed reports that he complained directly to Fox News management about Tucker Carlson’s “Patriot Purge” documentary.

Occupy Democrats seized upon that tidbit and asked their followers to “RT TO THANK CHRIS FOR CALLING TUCKER OUT!”
